Artist's Description

The serving of Afternoon Tea or Low Tea came with many of our ancestors from England. High Tea usually consists of a meal including meats. The Afternoon Tea would find a lite serving of cakes, scones or finger sandwiches served on Fine Lace and with Silverware.

The reason behind the title "Low Tea" comes from the low tables that they were usually served on in the "Parlor".

No matter where it was served or at what time, I just couldn't remembr to throw the little pinkie out. So I just sit on the back porch and enjoy a glass of good ole Ice Tea. NO SUGAR.

About John Glass

John Glass

As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country. We hope you can travel with us via my photography, Comments are welcomed.
