The world stood still and his life began...
Oh what a marvelous miracle... away in a manger..

Side note;
I took this picture over two years ago in Utah...
I did not get the full message until early this morning while scanning through my portfolio I came upon it and the CD I was listening to started "Away In A Manger...
Needless to say I got the message. Lord, show me the way.
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country. We hope you can travel with us via my photography, Comments are welcomed. I love it John - brings the story and the carol right home to us country folk. Reminds me of an old print. Love it. F/L G

Thank you Joyce for looking at my world. I know the people here in Lake Charles has surely started calling me "The Old Man with the Camera" because it always seems to be in my hand when I'm out and about. Ive decided that there is way to much world to photograph it all but at least Im going to grab as much of it as I can. Again Thank You.

Thank you Jan. What is it about old barns? Ya know until I started getting "up in years" I never really noticed or payed attention to old buildings. Now, I look at them and think "I know how ya feel". Theres something about them that makes you think back about what you yourself have been through. Again thank you. I looked at your work and its very nice. Are the kids in the paintings yours or you like we are very proud grandparents?

Being from Central Texas, snow is not a "usual" in my winters. This was on our way to Salt Lake City last year. The reason for the picture is I love old barns and feed lots. There was one on the ranch I was raised on that looked very much like this one but of course minus the snow.

Very nice character to this image - I like the possible story element that could be attached to this photo.
