To the visitor and tourist one may look at the sites and think "ugly" but to those who live here they are part of our life and a industry that keeps these two cities growing by leaps and bounds...
It's simple, you don't bite the hand that feeds you... They are regulated and follow the strict guidelines set by our government which brings peace of mind to those who live close to them.
To many of those who drive through our area... There is a very good chance that the vehicle you are driving is running on fuels refined right here through one of these refineries.
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country.
