Artist's Description
The Oriental Gardens of Austin were made by the Men's Club of Austin in Zilker Park. The colors and shapes of Japan were transplanted onto a hillside of post oak. cedar and scrub brush. The limestone base of the protruding Balcones Faultline held and embraced the unusual new plants and water gardens. 50 years later the gardens have only gotten more beautiful.
About John Glass
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country. We hope you can travel with us via my photography, Comments are welcomed.
