This Great Blue Heron stood on the pier and looked out over the lake in search for a early morning meal.
I did not realize his size as much as how regal he looked. It wasn't until he had flown away and I walked to where he had stood did I realize that he was close to 5 feet tall. Also, it wasn't until then that I realized that I actually met Big Bird.
About John Glass
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country.
