Description
The farmer's stone walls contain the fields of the Agave plant that cover the sides of the mountains and valleys of the state of Jalisco. They have been there since the 14th century when the arriving Spaniards started missing their beloved Brandy. With no grapes available to produce their wines and fine cognacs they developed mud stills to produce a bold strong brew called Mescal.
Once the Cuervo Family took the concoction, and after some additional refining of the recipe, they step forward and made a marketable liquor in the late 1700s that the world now knows and loves.. Tequila..
