Artist's Description
From near the begining of man's existence there have been battles... At each battle there was almost always one weapon present. It hung at the warrior's side ready to be drawn to defend one's homeland or as a weapon of assault by those who came to conquer.
A warrior's sword in many cases was the deciding factor whether he was to walk away a victor or be remembered as one who gave his life for what he believed in.
The Sheathed Sword of Sudan know as the Kaskara... Effectively used during the 19th and early 20th centuries...
It hangs over in a corner of the patio wall.... ya just never know when your going to have to defend your castle...
About John Glass
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country. We hope you can travel with us via my photography, Comments are welcomed.
