Less then 24 hours before this was taken a flashflood passed down this gully blocking the road at over 3 feet deep. Flashflooding during the Monsoon season of Nevada's Valley of Fire can catch campers and hikers off guard because the rains may actually fall miles away and travel through the canyons and steam beds that head toward and ends in Lake Mead.
As of June of 2023, my wife and I have decided to begin a new journey along our paths in life. We have decided to choose the road less taken, and have packed what we can into the back of our van and have left Texas, traveling deep into Mexico and are now are residing in the Pueblo known as La Floresta, Ajijic, in the state of Jalisco Mexico. The cultures, history and the people of Mexico are what brought us here. We are hoping to travel around Mexico learning and sharing the beauty of this country.
